Commissions

Owning an original piece of art is an enjoyable experience. You may have previously purchased art or have been unsuccessful in finding that right piece - if so, why not commission a work direct from us?

The work will be personal and unique - specifically produced for you. Each commission will vary slightly in the steps taken from start to finish, as each circumstance is unique.

Developing Your Brief
Recording all of your thoughts and ideas on paper and is an important part of the commission process - it establishes exactly what is to be achieved, and can be used as a point of reference.

Key Points to Consider
Remember - if you need help, please do not hesitate to send us an email.

Making an Agreement
When you are happy to go ahead with your commission, we will need to finalise the brief ensuring you agree the materials the work is to be constructed from, the timescale and the cost.

Commissioning a project is much easier when the requirements are formalised. We can provide a standard contract that we normally use when agreeing a commission.

Payment Structure
Our normal practice is to charge one-third upon agreeing the commission, a second payment mid way through the process and the final payment on completion and delivery of the artwork.

Ownership & Moral Rights
We retain first ownership of a work of art that we have created, and reserve the right to use images of the work for publicity and marketing purposes.

You will own the commissioned work, but you will not have duplication rights without prior agreement from us.

We will not sell prints of your original without your prior agreement.

We would love to hear your comments following completion - feedback on the success of your commission is of mutual benefit.

Finally, be sure to take pride in your personal and unique piece of artwork!
